Description

Plast-O-Matic Series EAST compact direct-acting solenoid valves are designed for reliable ON/OFF control of corrosive, aggressive and high-purity liquids where installation space is limited. The normally-closed, spring-return design requires no minimum operating pressure and provides rapid opening and closing for demanding industrial fluid-control applications.
The EAST incorporates a PTFE bellows shaft seal that isolates the operating mechanism from the process fluid, eliminating the need for a conventional elastomer shaft seal that may be vulnerable to chemical attack. The bellows provides smooth, non-sticking operation and allows the valve to be used for pressure, drain and vacuum service.
With inlet pressure capability up to 140 PSI and back pressure up to 70 PSI, the EAST is suitable for applications such as chemical injection, spray nozzles and other higher-pressure chemical processes. Thermoplastic valve bodies are available in PVC, polypropylene and PVDF for compatibility with acids, caustics, solvents, chlorine solutions and other aggressive liquids.
