Plast-O-Matic Series BSR/BSRM Air Operated Shut-Off Valves

Plast-O-Matic Series BSR/BSRM compact air operated shut-off valves feature a globe-style design for reliable ON/OFF control of liquids in industrial and chemical processing systems. Available in Geon® PVC or Natural Polypropylene, these valves are suitable for applications requiring corrosion resistance, compact installation and dependable pneumatic operation.
The balanced valve design allows high flow rates with minimal pressure drop and enables outlet pressure or backpressure to be as high as the inlet pressure without affecting valve performance. A non-sticking design provides bubble-tight shut-off for reliable process isolation.
Series BSR requires 25 PSI air pressure to fully open, while Series BSRM requires 50 PSI. When the air supply is removed, the valve automatically closes by spring return, providing fail-safe normally closed operation. The stainless steel spring is isolated from the process liquid for improved chemical compatibility and service life.
Standard valves are designed for pressure service up to 150 PSI. Vacuum service is also available but must be specified when ordering.
