Description
The Plast-O-Matic Series CARD Combination Air Release and Degassing Valve combines air release, continuous degassing and vacuum relief functions within a single valve assembly. This multifunction design provides an efficient solution for managing trapped air, accumulated gases and vacuum conditions in piping systems.
During system start-up, the air release function allows unwanted air to escape from the pipeline. During normal operation, the degassing function continuously removes accumulated air or gas that may affect system performance. The vacuum relief function allows air into the piping system when negative pressure occurs, helping protect pipelines and equipment against vacuum conditions caused by leaks or siphoning.
The Series CARD uses a self-guided, high-buoyancy float together with an elastomeric sealed poppet to provide reliable sealing while minimising the escape of process fluid. Its thermoplastic construction contains no metal parts and provides corrosion resistance for chemical processing, water treatment and other demanding fluid-handling applications.
