Description
Watts Series 2300 Direct Operated Water Pressure Reducing Valve is designed for reliable pressure reduction in larger water systems requiring stable downstream pressure, high flow capacity and dependable operation.
Available in 3" and 4" sizes, the Series 2300 uses an essentially balanced single-seat design to minimize variations in delivery pressure caused by changing inlet pressure. A large Hycar diaphragm provides sensitive response to small changes in downstream pressure while maintaining effective flow performance.
The packless design eliminates stuffing-box friction, while the Hycar composition single seat provides positive dead-end shutoff and helps prevent pressure creep when there is no flow demand. Its self-aligning design eliminates the need for a stem guide in the bottom flange, helping reduce potential dirt accumulation and operational problems.
The Series 2300 is designed for convenient maintenance, with internal components accessible by removing the blind flange or spring chamber while the valve remains installed in the pipeline.
