Watts Series 174A, 374A and 740 ASME Water Pressure Relief Valves are designed to provide pressure protection for hot water heating boilers and related hydronic heating systems.
The Watts Series 174A features bronze body construction and is available in pressure settings from 30 to 150 psi, with sizes from ¾" to 2". The Series 374A combines an iron body with a forged brass inlet, while the Series 740 is designed for hot water space heating boiler applications requiring higher discharge capacities.
These ASME-rated pressure relief valves incorporate a non-mechanical seat-to-disc alignment that helps prevent sticking or freezing. The seat is positioned above the drain to help prevent trapped water and sediment accumulation, while a high-temperature-resistant water seal protects the spring and working components during relief operation.
